Spend your Memorial day weekend with us this Saturday and Sunday night as we hold the 1st Annual John Morris Classic. Free camping, great prizes and giveaways all weekend long with 2 spectacular shows featuring IMCA Modifieds, Pure Stocks, X-Mods, Robert Horne Ford Bombers and Lady Stocks.  Racing action will begin at 7:30pm sharp both nights with Arizonas top drivers all gunning for the increased prize money and huge trophies sponsored by Rips Napa Automotive and Lets Talk Dirt weekly program.

Ricky Thorton had a story book  run last week that sent him from the tail end of the field after a heat race penalty, all the way to the top of the podium.  The new Shaw chassis and 604 crate motor proved to be a great combination and helped Thorton in extending his 2013 points lead in the IMCA Modified division .  Anthony  Madrid also picked up valuable points as he crossed the finishline in 2nd position  debuting his new crate motor in the 5M machine.  Cody Center shook off the previous weekend woes to return to the podium claiming 3rd position just ahead of Mr. Excitement himself 77B Terry  Belcher Sr..  All of the best Modified drivers in the southwest will be on tap this Saturday night to  claim the $750 to win at  both nights events.

Pure stocks will also return to action this weekend. After and epic battle through out the field last weekend double duty Anthony Madrid emerged as the victor with points leader Jody Henderson and  last years champion Michael  Huffman close in tow. All 3 drivers will compete this weekend for the $400 to win both nights.

The X Mods will also return with a combination of X Mods,  Southern and Northern Sport Mods to make up the largest X Mod division the facility has seen.  Points leaders  Chris Caldwell,  Michael Harrison and Clint Clausen will have there hands full this weekend while competing for the $350 to win both nights.

Robert Horne Ford Bombers will also be back in action after post race inspection last weekend led to be the biggest story of the night .  In efforts to keep the playing field even in this great class the post race inspection deemed 3 of the top 4 cars to be running racing springs that did not meet the AZSW rules and called for the disqualification of the top 3 sending current points leader Ron Neis into the winners circle. Wrenches will be flying all week to get their cars AZSW legal for the $200 to win both nights.

We will wrap up the evenings both nights with the Lady Stocks.  The women of dirt track will take their bombers and pure stocks and once again show the men how its done during the John Morris Classic.

Racing begins at 7:30 both nights. Gates open at 5:00pm both nights.  Pits open at 4:00pm. Mandatory drivers meeting at 6:00pm. Camping is free all weekend.

Cost of admission is $12 adults, $10 seniors, $5 kids and kids 6 and under are free.
